A new countdown has been started for the presentation of the pandas to the public due to the freezing temperatures and snow that have descended on Beauval! On Monday morning, with just one week left before our wonderful visitors could meet the pandas, our team was forced to postpone this long-awaited introduction.
It goes without saying that the winter conditions currently being experienced in France do not bother Huan Huan and Yuan Zi in the slightest. However, the 15 cm of snow, bone chilling temperatures, and slippery paths have forced the Beauval team to take precautions. So in order to prevent this otherwise joyous event being spoiled by bumps and bruises, the public opening of the Chinese area is postponed until further notice.
The whole of the ZooParc is therefore currently closed to the public. We will keep you informed on this website about any changes to this situation. Meanwhile, our two pandas and their many neighbors are living in the utmost comfort in their indoor shelters and enclosures, waiting for better days…
