With 1,600 individuals left in the wild and approximately 300 more housed in zoos, there are in total, less than 2,000 pandas alive today. Huan Huan and Yuan Zi have been brought to Beauval as part of a panda dedicated research and conservation programme, conducted in collaboration with the Chengdu panda base in China.
For those who wish to invest in such a project, as well as the 18 other programs around the world supported by the Association Beauval Conservation & Recherche (Beauval Research and Conservation Association), there is a simple and effective method to do so… sponsorship!
Sponsoring one of the animals at Beauval involves donating money which goes towards real action in the field, all whilst having a special emotional bond with the animal in France. By sponsoring Huan Huan, our female panda, or Yuan Zi, our male, you are contributing to the continuation and development of projects that are essential for protecting the animal world. This beneficial act not only contributes to the preservation of the giant panda, a true ambassador for endangered species, but also to the preservation of the other species that inhabit our planet, many of which are unknown to the general public, but must not be allowed to disappear…
Place your brick in the great wall of conservation!
